Temple Mission
The Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple located in Nekkundi Dommasandra, Sarjapura Hobli, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru, was established in 2017 with a noble mission to serve both the spiritual and educational needs of the community, particularly for underprivileged Brahmin children. The temple aims to create a space for traditional worship while also providing essential religious, humanitarian, cultural, and educational resources, particularly through its Vedhapathashala for students from underprivileged communities.
One of the core objectives of the temple is to promote the ideals of Sanatana Dharma, the eternal principles of Hinduism, which focus on universal values such as world peace, harmony, spiritual growth, and personal well-being. The temple works to guide individuals in aligning their lives with these higher ideals through worship, as well as through the various educational and cultural services it offers.
The temple is dedicated to preserving the traditions of Hindu worship, allowing devotees to engage in rituals and prayers that connect them to their spiritual heritage. This space serves not only as a place of devotion but also as a center for learning, where individuals can deepen their understanding of Vedic teachings and explore cultural practices that promote personal growth. By offering educational programs, cultural events, and humanitarian services, the temple enriches the lives of all who participate, promoting both spiritual and personal development.
A significant milestone in the temple’s journey came in early 2020, with the installation of Sri Lakshmi Ammavaru (Goddess Lakshmi) and Lord Hanuman idols, marking the temple’s formal inauguration. The installation of these deities underscored the temple’s focus on prosperity (through Goddess Lakshmi) and strength and devotion (through Lord Hanuman), both of which are key aspects of Hindu worship.
Another notable development occurred in 2022, with the installation of a 13-foot idol of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, further elevating the temple’s spiritual significance. Since the installation of these idols, the temple has been conducting daily worship, providing continuous spiritual nourishment for the community.
The growth of the temple, both in infrastructure and spiritual impact, reflects the dedication of its founder, Sri Archakam Srinath Swamy, and the support of the many devotees who have contributed to its success. The temple’s mission goes beyond offering a place for worship—it seeks to foster peace, harmony, and spiritual health. It has become a sanctuary for individuals to embrace the values of Hinduism, ensuring that it remains a focal point for both religious devotion and personal development. Through this holistic approach, the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple continues to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for the community.
